A/C Problem

The a/c on my new L doesn't work, I have an appointment to get fixed, but since the weekend is here, I thought maybe there's something simple to look for to fix this (such as a fuse or relay) myself.

Symptoms? Turn on the a/c switch (max or normal), no cool air. That's all I know. Fan works.

Where is the a/c located?

Thanx.

It's on the passenger side twards the bottom of the engine. Check the fues use the owners manual to find out which one it is. It will also show you what relay it is. You might be able to swap a like relay just to see if thats it.

Also PM superfords he is a Tech and a friend to this board.

When I got my 2001 used it had 3000 miles on it and the air did not get cold one bit, I took it to Ford and they said the line going into the condensor was loose, they tightned it and recharged it. It has been cold as ice since March.

mine didn't work, but I got a great tip from wydopnthrtl.

My fuse was Loose (the one under the dash) I took Needle nose pliers and bent the ends a little, one prong up, one prong down, now it fits inthere tight and A'C works...

Only takes 30 seconds to check
