new problem need help!

ok this morning we installed my new apten, accufab and a jdm phen. spacer. started the truck up ran fine. we went for a test ride and now it seems like theres some kind of leak coming from the drivers side area near the egr tube and exhaust manifold.sounds like a little sputtering sound but it can only be heard while you are driving not at idle. im wondering what it could be?? we tried tightening the egr tube to the exhaust manifold more but its still makingthe noise. im figuring it had to happen when we were bending the tube to fitthe phen. spacer. help anyone??could we have broke something loose while bending the tube?? the noise is quiet but annoying to the point where i dont wanna drive my truck. thanks

When I installed my spacer I was trying to bend the tube and all of a sudden "craaaaack!!" I thought I broke it. But it actually just came loose at the exhaust manifold.

You're probably on the right track by tightening it at the manifold but it may be so misaligned after bending it that it can't make a good seat.

I would remove the EGR nut at the intake and then loosen the two EGR bolts. Go down and tighten the crap out of the nut at the manifold. Now loosen the two EGR bolts at the intake until they're almost completely out. Hand tighten the EGR nut a couple of threads. Now tighten the two EGR bolts evenly. Kind of go back and forth between them (EGR bolts, EGR nut) until you can't hand tighten them anymore. Now tighten the EGR bolts completely (and evenly). Once they're completely snug, tighten the EGR nut completely.

May'be that'll help get a good seat.

Good luck!!
