Mine came in plastic that was already molded that dark gray.

Denny, which part # did you use for the new rail on the passenger side?

Having that seat pan picture and part # saves me alot of trouble, thanks!

I ended up grabbing them out of a junk yard off an old expy...but I did a search and found this...

F65Z-1561709-CAJ (support assembly)
YL3Z-1563100-BB (Spring assembly)
YL3Z-15603A86-BAA (Handle assembly)

The spring assy is the seat pan
The support is the rails (I think)
The handle is the adjustment handle for moving the sea fowards and backwards...

Great job Gadget. I just got done painting my tan console, grey and black, this morning.

Denny, you can go to Discount Auto or any reputable auto store, and get Duplicolor brand paint.

Use the adhesion promoter, and then spray the color. Very simple process, and it looks awesome.

I still need to have the console lid recovered with the black perforated vinyl, but you can see the paint job I have already finished.

Before:

After:

I went with the old style console, because it was only $71.00. I sure as **** wasn't spending several hundred on a new OEM console.

Can't wait for this freakin hurricane to get out of here, so I can finish the interior.

02Thunder...

I used Duplicolor Medium Gray to paint mine, and it came out the same as the A-pillars...what color Dupli-color did you use to get the dark gray? Do you have the paint code?

Denny, I used the Medium gray and flat black. But they did have Medium Gray, Dark Gray, and Silver at the Discount Auto by the house.

I can get you the paint number on Monday, granted the store doesn't blow away with the hurricane tonight.

I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Joe,

that console looks identical to the one in my mom's 98 expy. It's just a touch narrower since the arm rests were buil into the seat before 99.

the paint job looks fantastic!

this week i gotta put my truck back together with a few junkyard parts and some upholstery work on the pass. seat.

The lid on my console is a leather one so i'll probably keep it as it is. It looks lighter in the pictures cuz of the flash but it actually matches the alcantara's tone perfect.

Joe

I thought you had used the dark gray, the console in your pics looks darker than mine, might be the camera angle. I tried to have paint mixed to match the darker tone in our interior, ut it came out a little to dark with a purple hue to it, so I had to paint over it with the Dupli-color. I think I might just go buy some dark gray and try it, if it doesn't match I can always repaint it...

Good luck with the Hurricane man!!!

You can buy spray paint from Ford that is an EXACT match for that dark grey.

Ford Part # : M4JZ-19M547-4253H
Description : Paint - Vinyl RE
List Price: $14.18 (USD)

This is the Dark Graphite color listed for interior colors.

It only takes my dealership a week or so to get it for me, and the color matches the rest of the interior perfectly.

Wow, that looks phreakin' awesome. Just think, if your nitrous bottle is mounted behind your seat, you could hook up the HVAC to the console and it could double as a bottle heater!..........or.........maybe not.

Can the stock storage boxes stay behind the seats still? Or is the console too long?

I tried that....damn california won't let you import any hazmat across state lines, so the dealership told me that I couldn't order it!!! But thanks for the info anyhow!! Maybe next time I'm visiting my family in Texas I'll pick some up...

Here is a comparison photo for the gray colors. The square piece is the inside seat rail cover from the Lightning interior. It is a perfect match, and the paint was only $3.00 a can.

Here is a shot in process of painting the side pieces.
