Mine was really tight for about 9 months and then one of the midipipes slid out of the muffler. I reclamped everything, then had 2 small tack welds done where the midpipes meet the muffler pipe. (one tiny tack on each side of the pipe)

They are small enough that they can be ground off in 5 minutes without harming the pipe, and it holds it securely in place.

20 bucks to the midas guy should more than cover it.

In my post, I stated that the clamps are bottomed out, there is no more adjustment left. They are as tight as they can get. I WISH they just needed locktite

Had it welded

Well, to play it safe, and seeing how I dont plan on putting hi flow cats on for awhile, I just had the Magnaflow catback welded on - kid at local muffler shop put a nice bead around where it meets the factory Y pipe for $10. Thanks for all who helped me decide to go with Magnaflow - the sound is fantastic and the fit and finish of the system incredible. They look a million times better than the stockers, too, of course. Have been asked 6 times yesterday and today "what exhaust do you have on that thing?".
