What the hell is causing a slow response from the 02 sensor circuits????????????
one of the miloc guys had a problem similar to yours also.
one of the wires on the o2 sensor was in there, but not tight, when e disconnected it, he discovered he could pull one of the wires out of the harness.
He pulled it out, bent the little tab to "lock it in there" and poof no more problems

Hey Don-
I have EASE, on my laptop...pretty much can tell you everything.
FWIW, I have brought mine to do some test at Ford (like cylinder contribution) and have had no problems with the chip interfering/*ucking up the readings. Most of the command test are done either koeo (key on, engine off), or at idle, at which time most parameters are very close to stock. The chances of your problem being detected at these times should be very high.
EASE is essentially a Ford diagnostic tool...it will graph (and chart) virtually every sensor on the truck, including injector and cylinder misfires, o2 sensor readings etc. + full diagnostics and data logging. Pretty cool stuff. My version won't do cylinder contribution, but will do KOEO and KOER.
Let me know Don, whether we figure it out or not, happy to help you out.

with long tubes take a good look at your trans wiring harness to see that it is not damaged (melted, etc) as this can cause strange problems (you wouldn't belive the weird ***** that can come from melted harness - been there)
Of course this is just a suggestion but with long tubes maybe you melted a harness wich also would not show up right away.

hmmm
Can anyone tell me what the darker blue wire with the green stripe (thicker wire) under the dash which has been recommended as a good key on power sorce tap.............what that powers or where it runs too. I have a couple things tapped off that, most recently the wide band. Maybe i am drawing too much power off that circuit and what ever it powers is screwing up???
tallimeca,
I had the same problem you had with the SES ligh tcoming on. Slow response. I put on a Air Fuel ratio meter and it came on couple days after. I tried everything, Solder connections, etc..
I still get the light. So Right b4 Lfest this year. I disconnecteds batt, disconnected the Air fuel meter from O2 sensor and hasn't come back on.
I think for some reason the ECm doesn't like the Air fuel Ratio meter wire being there, so it says slow respose.
