Harmonic balancer problem

Ok It's a 2001 lightning and I'm trying to get the harmonic balancer off because I need to rebuild the motor. I have the "cage" and outer pulley off and I need to know how to remove the balancer after that. I am left with a shaft for the outer pulley and the balancer. Do I turn the shaft? If so, which way? If not, do I just pull the balancer with the shaft, or is the shaft the bolt for the balancer? Plz help because every other board I've tried is complete morons. For you can not be an enthusiast if you havent worked on your motor...bolt ons dont count.

You know, I dont think Ive ever had to take the balancer off my lightning..

Assuming its the same as all the 4.6 motors Ive worked on, you remove the bolt in the center of the balancer (I think its an 18mm head?) and then you use a 3-bolt puller in the three holes where a cageless pulley would bolt to pull the balancer off the crankshaft...

The lightning is different than a regular motor in the fact that it has two separate pulleys on the crank, the balancer and the lower blower pulley. I have a shaft where the bolt would normally be.

Well, I know about the lower blower pulley part of it, but I assumed, aside from the caged portion that threads into the balancer, the balancer itself was still held on with a bolt...

yes, take off the lower pulley, then take of the balancer as you would on any chevy or ford motor with a keyed crank.
