THANKS AGAIN SAL - MY TRUCK HAS NEVER RUN BETTER!!!!!!!

For those of you who did not know, Sal flew out to San Jose, California to custom tune @ 20 trucks last weekend. Prior to the custom tune, I was happy with my numbers - @ 530 rwhp, 570 tq. I just wanted to have Sal mess with my shift points since I was having some minor problems. After my truck was tied down on the dyno, Sal got in my truck and did some data logging for about 15 minutes. He then went back to his computer and made some changes to my chip for 5 - 10 minutes. After that, he put my chip back in my truck and made a pull on the dyno - 551 RWHP and 646 TQ (without the nitrous). HOLY *****!!!!! I could not believe it. He made two more pulls and got the same result. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it. He gave me 20+ RWHP and 75+ TQ by playing with the chip. AMAZING. Not only that, but my truck runs better than it ever has before. He also got my 50-shot of nitrous set up and ready to use. That should easily put me in the infamous 600/700 club...... YAHOOOOOOOO........ Time to go waste some ricers / chevys.......

Those numbers are awesome, I had a similar experience. I do not have the same mods but he increased my HP by like 20 or something with just a different tune, but I am lucky enough to have him almost right next door.

 

Great numbers! I'm hoping to have Sal dyno tune my truck at Lightning Fest.

I've had Sal's tune on my truck for about a week. Couldn't be happier. This guy flat out knows what he's doing.

It is now a day later, and I am even more impressed with the way the truck is running. I tested out the nitrous yesterday on Highway 101 & it worked perfectly. Shifting is PERFECT. I love it. In all my years of owning a lightning, it has never run better.


I had an awesome race with a 03 Cobra yesterday - he couldn't believe that I beat him (Although I better be careful around here since it seems that every other 03 has 500+ rwhp). There are actually some 03's around here pushing 700 rwhp..... :o I love telling them that I only have a chip and exhaust work done - hahaha

To everyone withing driving distance of Sal: I am jealous....

My next step is to up the boost by changing from a 4lb lower to a 6lb lower.

Did you just have a mail order tune on it before? If not, who tuned it?

The chip I had before was an 4-way autologic chip that was custom tuned on the dyno by a local tuner. I was "satisfied" with the tune I had, however, it had its little glitches.

When Sal came out, I decided to get one of his new 8-way SCT chips. He NAILED the tune........ I would not change a thing....

I really just can't tell you how happy I am that my truck is finally running perfectly.......
