That's insane. I guess GM screwed another vehicle introduction by not giving people what they want initially and taking years to get the product right. Can you hear Fiero?

You can sell an odd retro looking vehicle with no performance for $18k (ala PT Cruiser, Scion), but you cannot sell and odd retro looking vehicle with no performance for $45+K (ala Prowler and Thunderbird).

if the SSR cost $20-25k, it would be a great car.

I sat it on and I have to say I LOVED the seats compared to the Lightning. I like the SSR interior better...as for the outside, I only like it in black or the deep-purple they sell.

Its too pricey for itself though.

$10k over MSRP was what many dealers

have been trying to get? Same thing helped kill the T Bird. Dealers will never learn! Don't agree about the interior quality though. Really cheap materials with poor fit & finish! I like the idea and looks-if it were better executed--For about $30k!
