WASP ported blower

not trying to bash here, but I honestly curious about this...

for those who have a WASP ported blower... how were your results?

i got a WASP a while back... been about 6 months I guess... anyway, I remember looking at the port job and it looked GREAT!! seemed to do a perfect job on it and was easy to work with... shipped it on a monday and got back like following monday... everything was A+

but here is my problem... im not seeing much if any power increase... everyone that gets the Apten says they see 20-30 rwhp increase... i think I saw like 9hp and my TRQ went down about 10

is this common with WASP ....??

also, does anyone know if I could send my blower into Apten and have them report it the Apten way?? is that possible??

Depends on the port job on the case. If there is room to modify the case the Apten style. If there is room in the case to change the port design Apten could fix it or Tommy could fix it, no problem.

Scott,
I think WE ALL (APTEN USERS INCLUDED) expected A LOT more out of the port job, than we may feel we got. Gator and others have shown HUGE increases on a Dyno, but Dyno #'s don't mean schitt, it's the 1320 that counts.

With that said, Gator and myslef both got ported last winter, (Gator went Apten, I went Wasp) both went out in early spring, AND BOTH RAN OUR SLOWEST ET's LIKE EVER, so take it for what it's worth.

Do I feel it slowed me down, NO NOT AT ALL
but I do think it changed the tune and the range of the power band. I will say I have clearly gained Whine, got added boost, and what I feel is a DEF better seat of the pants experience when I installed the WASP. I also hit the 500/600 club after the port on 75HP of Spray, so if you take n20 power away, I think my numbers sounds plenty good with the Wasp

I have a WASP on my truck. I can say it keeps on pulling now and doesnt fall off. I can race camaros top end beter. I will say i didnt increase boost like everyone else. went from 12 to 12.5 but it was 70 here last night and i pulled 14lbs boost. I think cool weather is gonna prove that the WASP is just as good. Go with the WASP and you wont be dissapointed
