LOL and start thinking on what you are going to do with your $100 profit. New iridium or Brisk plugs, perhaps?

just get a good launch. have you practiced launching at all? cause last time i was at the track, i ran a 14.2 because i could not stop spinning off the line. backed it up on the next run with a 12.88. just don't get overzealous and light them up. otherwise, you will be part of the way there for a pulley. after you beat him the first time, tell him you will go double or nothing for a second run.

oh yeah, get a neutral third party to hold the money before the race.

Depending on how much you trust this guy, it wouldnt hurt to look under the hood and make sure he's "stock". Look for the ole N20.

I wouldn't worry about the launch. Even a 14.2 will beat that sled.

I dont know man, I think it'll be a closer race. What year is your Lightning, and what year is the SS? I had a hard time in my Lightning racing a friend of mines SS. But then again it maybe wasnt as stock as this SS. He had full exhaust, intake and slicks.
It took me a 4#er and a chip to catch back up to him. And even after that he still got me a few times. Those SS's and ws6's are quick even stock. Good luck man, hope you see an extra $100 in your pocket.

Shane, with you mentioning WS6, I guess your thinking he's talking about a Camaro SS. I think he's talking about a Silverado SS (truck).

I was about to chime in too and re-read the original post. When I first read it I thought he meant 'silver' SS. Re-read, I understood what he meant.

Yeah, he's thinking it's a Camaro. If that was the case, I agree with him. Stock LS1s are pretty stout.
