Unhappy Chitting a brick

Damn Hurricanes, I live in New Orleans and everyone is evacuating! Went to get gas last night, low fuel light was on, and thank God the L takes 93 octane only, cause they were out of 87 and 89 and still I had to wait 20 mins to get to a pump. Freaking crazy.

Just got my L a month and a half ago and don't want to see it go. Just hoping Ivan is kind to us or where ever he goes.

Good luck to all who will be affected by the Hurricane.

I thought they named hurricanes after women? You know, the whole "most destructive force on the planet" thing and all.

Good luck and find a hole to hide in till the stuff quits falling from the sky.

Zem,

Don't know if you have seen the latest update but it appears that we will be getting hit pretty hard. Latest reports have it hitting Gulfport which is about 50 miles from us. Too close for me. I am heading out. Haven't decided where we are going though. Good luck and be safe.

Get the **** outta' there. This hurricane is going to smite a few days, don't let you or your L become a casuality.

Find a mall or office building that had a multi level concrete garage. Park it on the 2nd or 3rd floor and you should be fine with flooding. My friend did that in FL with his new M3. Just parked it in some office building down the road overnight. He sure is glad he did that because almost all the cars in his developement had water damage.

Isn't New Orleans below sea level? If so I would think about leaving until it's over but that's just me.

Since Mother Nature can change her mind at anytime, and 1 degree can mean a totally different landfall over a hundred + miles, the best computer model we have (now, Tuesday night)

23% chance New Orleans
21% chance Mobile area of 'Bama
19% Pensacola

This is the predominant 'cone' of likely landfalls for the Eye. Other possibilities are weighed more west, with a site east like St Marks FL maybe around 9%.

Regardless, best of luck to all.
