I damaged my grill shell; and I was wondering if they come prepainted or if the local body shop has to paint them.

If you buy a new one from Ford it will come prepainted...

 

When I bought one a month ago, I used the part number for red. The grille surround (headlight panel) arrived in primer and the actual grille was plain black plastic rather than the dark silver. Don't be suprised if you have to paint to match.
