Truck is Finsihed Dyno Tune Included
I finally finished the truck this weekend with the Dyno Tune and new motor and tranny installed. I had it Dyno Tuned at Swanson Performance and it made 515 hp and 550 ft lbs of torque @ 5500 RPM on 91 octane California pump gas.
I was a little apprehensive after building this motor myself, as this is a truly home built unit. Some of you may look at the numbers and expect a little more, but this is at 13 lbs of boost and a California 91 octane street tune.
As I advised Danny Swanson, I would gladly leave 25 – 30 horsepower on the table to have this motor last me the lifetime of the truck. Danny was quite confident with the motor. He feels that we could probably get it to 600 horsepower by increasing the boost, bumping the ignition advance and pouring in some race gas. Just knowing that he was confident that that could be done was enough for me.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all the people that helped me with this build up and I could not have done it without their help. Chris (superfords) for posting great pics on how to build your own engine, Dante for all the advice and building me a bulletproof transmission and a moded valve body. I replaced my Gregg Evans valve body with Dante’s and the truck has never shifted better, Sal at PSP, and Mark from LFP. If I left anyone out, I’m sorry.
I will try to post a Dyno Graph later, whenever I receive it from Danny. Following is a list of Mods.
CP Pistons
Mod Max Rods
Patriot Racing Heads
Crower Stage 2 Cams
Kenne Bell at 13 psi
55 lbs Injectors
JDM Long Tubes
Dante’s Built Tranny and Valve Body
Using Predator with a Swanson Custom Tune
