I'll tell Jay to answer this thread. I know there is (or was) a guy in Waco that Jay goes to Baylor with that was doing this.

On a side note for you that don't know about Waco, TX. it has been said many times that first prize in a contest is one weekend in Waco and second prize is two weekends in Waco!

Like I said months ago, my truck is red and I would like a very light smoke applied to them. That's how the California Mercedes and BMW tuners do it. I'm sure that Rob could hook me up with the smoke part.

IMO too dark and it looks thrashy.

Anyone have a approach to do this?

He has not gotten back to me yet, but this guy can make them as dark or light as you want them.

He said he can do them, but that he doesn't have any Lightning tail lights or fog lights to swap out with you. To do it you would have to send in your set let him paint them, then send them back, but obviously you wont be able to drive your tuck during this time. The other option would be to buy another set and send them to him.

He is going to give me more information like prices etc later.

would he do custom pieces? i want to get the side marker lights on my 85 done since the truck is black in the 2 tone on that area. i could ship him a spare set. they are about 2" tall by like 8" long, and orange.

I did a spare set with that VHT nightshades stuff mentioned above, it turned out aight, but no where near nice enough as getting them done like you pictured in your posts
