a/f ratio

when tuning your motor what is the ideal a/f ratio?

It depends..... basically as high as possible without detonation. On some trucks that may be 11.4, on others it could be 12.4 at WOT (and even then it varies by load and rpm).

Depends on how much timing, boost, octane, etc. you are running.

Best thing to do is to actually GET IT TUNED by a tuner.

That would depend on how hot of a tune you want.

The A/F is pretty much a flat 12.0 accross the board on stock tunes. But then again stock tunes are'nt all that quick now are they..
