Man for a new guy you sure are good at starting chit

**Note**

As you will find out soon enough, anytime you ask to compare vendors products, the crap will be sling'in like monkeys on vacation

That being said I, like others use PowerSurgePerformance's FastAir system. Johnny Lightning's air system also gets high marks.
I think every supporting vendor has some sort of Cold Air Intake.........Take a lookie

MICHAEL

The top choices seem to be JLP, PSP, + AIRAID.
There may be more ?

They're all the same but diff, read up on them
and make a choice, I'd say they're all great units

The JLP/PSP also bring in cool air from the front
via a hose or two, the Airaid Box has no hose or hole
(but can be modified)

either way
LOTS OF EXTRA WHINE, AND SOME FREE BOOST + POWER

I got the JLP box and think it looks great under my hood

I bought the JLP "BOX ONLY" (comes with the hole in the box)
and then piped the cool air myself, using a smooth Stainless Tubing. (you save a hundred not buying their hose)

You can see the inlet here in this Pic

JLP's
without hose's HERE

and with HERE

PSP's HERE

Airaid HERE

"The answer is easy"... LOL....

Well the *best value* would be taking a few hours to research here and at nloc.net. Then take $15 to Home depot and spend 2 hours in your garage.

BTW: A 4" pipe will fit but you can only turn 1/2 to the right.

Thats not true Rich,

I had 4" on mine for over a year, and not once did it hit
Ok so maybe it was wedged so tight against the bottom radiator hose that it was restricting the flow of water,
BUT HEY you got to give a little to get a little, hehehehe

For me the JLP was my 3rd Filter set up, as you say you can make them for pennys, but Looks are what made me change to the JLP

Try turning right with 305 55 18s". about 7/8ths of one turn is all you get brother!

BTW: I put a jlp prefilter on and cut up a old fireplace screen for the top. I had one guy not believe me. I had to show him the "rubbermaid" on the bottom before he'd actually believe I made it out of a trashcan. Oh..and YES duct tape was used in the construction process! (red/green would be proud)

I too was running a pre-filter. But one afternoon while "messing" with my truck, I blipped the throttle a couple times and noticed that the pre-filter was being sucked into the ridges of the air filter

So my thinking was that it was a restriction that was hurting more than helping! Don't know if I was right or wrong, but I chit-canned the pre-filter
