Blower case problem

I have an apten ported blower with a metco idler pulley, there is a long bolt that holds the idler assembly to the front of the blower, if your looking at the blower its the bottom bolt on the left, the problem is the threads in the blower case are stripped out and the blower is leaking oil (alot of oil), can I use a helicoil to fix the threads ?, any and all help is appriciated.

I would say yes on the heli coil! Just remember not to over torque when reinstalling the bolt. Also try to contain all the chips generated from cutting threads for the heli coil.

Thanks Sauvy

I kind of figured that would be my best option, if it doesn`t work then I might end up getting a magnum powers, I hope it does though, because a heli coil is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Does Apten offer any kind of warranty on something like this? Heli-coil will not be too hard of a fix, but still....
