Who would you pick for a Predator custom tune and why?

OK, here's the deal.

I and several people I know have been waiting up to 3 weeks for a custom predator tune from an unnamed vendor. I'm not trying to stir anything up here, just looking for options.

We want to know who does good Predator custom tunes and can get one done in a reasonable amount (a week give or take a few days) of time.

Please do not bash any vendors in this thread. Let's try to keep it positive unless you can say, "Joe Blow took 5 weeks to get me a custom tune" or something like that.

From personal experience I would find a tuner in your area and get it dyno tuned.

I got an e-mail tune from a couple (2) of supporting vendors. Had to get to the dyno anyways to check the A/F. Both times, from both vendors the A/F was way down at 10:1. So I had to email back and get another tune and then go back and get re-dyno'd. Still having the same results. Not bashing at all, I know that 91 octane is a different beast from 93. But my point is that I spent $80 each time at the dyno, over 4 trips makes $320. I could have got it dyno tuned the first time for that much. Food for thought...

I had my Predator done on the dyno, so I left knowing a couple things: First, I knew the Air/Fuel ratio was right. Secondly, I knew exacty how much power I was making. And third, but very important to me, was that I got to hear it on the dyno. What a song that truck sings!! If you haven't heard your truck on the dyno, you should. It is enough to make you leave the tunes off permanently.

FYI, my Predator tune took 3 pulls to get perfect. I told them the first one was close enough, since I was going to change pulleys and throttle body anyway. Close is not good enough for my local dyno shop. It is either right or Swanson does not let it leave.

I don't know where your nearest dyno shop is, but where ever it is, it's worth the drive.

I drove 3 days (round trip) to have SAL at PSP dyno tune my truck.

If you have to ask why, please sell your LIghtning immediately

James (RWTD) has pretty good service from what I hear. But for peace of mind, I'd probably have it dynotuned by whichever reputable vendor is nearest to me...

Anyone have a concise list of the recommended dynotuners, including address?

THANKS

I 2nd James with RWTD he has been very quick to give me tunes if you buy it froim him all the tunes are free I have gotten 6 from him so far. I go to the track e-mail him 60' mph and 1/4 and he has been tweeking my tunes each time I get just a little faster.Oh and you attach your files to his web site there are no worries of e-mail contamination of your tunes.I post my track info and that night I have a new tune just about everytime.

I'll give a 3rd for James at Running with the Devil; he will listen to you, and set you up with what you want. He has worked very closely with Diablo, and has an extensive Lightning background. Not to mention he mostly does tuning so you don't have to worry about him being swamped with people ordering parts.
