My opinion says yes.

Aptens porter has done alot of these blowers and continue's to R&D their work.
When they first came on here with their ported Eaton, everybody couldn't understand why they didn't want pics of their work out there.

Now you see, just about every tuner offers their own port jobs. Do they work as well as the Apten? Some say yes and alot say no. Guess its the luck of the draw, but I know my Apten port job did what it was claimed to do

Before and after........
I since have added larger pumps and injectors as I was moving too much air thru the motor for the stock fuel system to keep up

Thanks for the input, Gator. I just didn't know if a lot of these distributors sold Apten-ported blowers.

I say go with the proven ported blower, Apten. They are running a GP right now, $395.

A GP at $395 is a VERY good deal.

Anyone have a .pdf of R&R'ing the upper intake and blower? I'd sure like a schematic on it before I start tearing into it.

Wes,

R&Ring the intake and blower is about as easy a job as you will ever do on the L. If you are at all handy with your hands you will have no problem at all.

Jerry,

I have R&R'd many a shortblock, transmission, brakes, and for that matter centrifugal blowers on other cars I've owned or friends owned.

I just like as much info as possible before the knuckle-busting starts.

At $395, there is no good reason to go with anyone but the Apten. The normal $600 Apten price is high and has opened the door to these other vendors who charge around $200 less. At $395, go for the real deal.

Got mine from LFP, 2 day turnaround and was happy with the price I paid. Most port jobs are the same and kick out similar numbers if you do some research on the boards.

Everybody seems to be happy with thier port job no matter who they use, so IMO it comes down to price.
