Question Techs, Tuners! Spark Plug diagnosis. HELP

Offending plug is from the #1 hole. All others are just a perfect as the one next to it.
And I was just about ready to start my mods!!! Just purchased new plugs, a 4#'er, was getting ready for the dyno tune etc. and etc. The first step was to install the new plugs. And what happens? The first one looks like this! So, I reinstalled the plug and take the truck into the dealer. The SVT tech pulls it and says, "Oh, no biggie! Just a little silica deposit!" I say, "Yeah, right! Just a little silica deposit?" And why just in the #1 hole and nowhere else? And he pressure checks the injector and tests the coil pack. No problems there. I ask him. "And why and what about the bit of wetness on the threads?" I receive an uncommitted shrug of the shoulders. I ask, "Well, what do you think?" He tells me it could be a lot of things but doesn't seem to pose a immanent problem at present. I should wait and come back in 3-5000 miles. I drive away muttering*!@*" Now What?
What in your humble opinions would cause it? And what would be your advice on my next step? Do I just go ahead and mod and forget it? Or set it out and wait? I've 14 months to go on my warranty. In that time I imagine I'll only put on at max.another 8000 miles. So if it's a looming problem such as a valve guide. It probabaly won't surface until after the warranty period has elapsed anyway!
Opinions and advice PLEASE!

Did you check the compression on the #1 cylinder?

They said that would have thrown a code! ????
The work order receipt stated in part:
11560 1166 Ran Diag. no codes. Fuel pressure tst 39 psi
no leak down. Scope test clear in shop. Tested all coils passin coil and ign. test. Road test with WDS in power balance test hwy speeds. Replaced #1 due to deposit on end of plug , cleared memory, road test system working good at this time.

Period end of report.

depending on how much oil your truck uses and the type of oil you use....it could very well be just a deposit.

I'm using Royal Purple 5-20wt. Last change it was down a 1/2 qt in 3000 miles.

Do any of you believe a leak down test would be in order?
Thanks for your help.
