The hood is decent, I like the Cobra R shape, I'm just not keen on the 2000 R style hood bumps. But I'd definitely consider that hood for my truck if I wanted a new one.

The stock hood weighs about 20 lbs. My current hood, which was made from a Cervini" cowl hood, weighs about 70 lbs.

As for the bumper, it's obvious by the response that won't be a big seller. The on thing Lightning owners hate is regular F-150 owners trying to make their trucks look like Lightnings. That bumper on a real Lightning makes the truck look like an F-150 that someoe is trying to make look like a Lightning.

Is that bumper available for the late eighties Honda CRX? Maybe with a license plate indent, tilted at 30 degrees?

I think if the bottom lip could be done in carbon fiber, or left off completly the fascia would look better...

and jim03, as far as making your truck uglier, dude you drive a sport trak

I would consider that hood..I like the stepped look to it. The front looks kind of like an older Roush truck front end, mixed with a Saleen or something...I dont know. Either way I give the front cover a thumbs down but I kinda dig the hood

and like Sal was saying, it does kind of make a real SVT look like a poser or something...

Silver Lightning,
You are going to love the Halibrands on your L. I put a set on my '04 DSG last week and they rock. Pictures to come.

I like them both...

Keep in mind, this would fit on ALL f150's, not just the Lightings.

Those rims are going to be even harder to clean than the 01-02 ones!

I wasn't sure if I was going to like them or not. Once they came in I was sure. They Rock!

Arrow 295/45-20

Tires are a little bigger than stock F-1s.

I NEVER liked the way the F-1s fit inside the wheel wells

They always appeared to be too small. (IMO)

Silverlightning, those wheels are cool! I was eyeing them myself. Do you know if the 3 bar knockoff caps are available for them?

Very cool!

What's the history on these wheels, were they an old school wheel from back in the day?

Arrow Old School.........Updated

First used on the "Original" Cobra, back in the sixties, Halibrands had no lug nuts on the racing versions. They had "spinners" or quick change hub nuts that were tightened with a mallet, not an impact wrench.
Chim, I don't know if the spinners are available.
In addition to the Cobra wheel, Halibrand also supplied wheels for the GT-40, Gran Sport Corvettes, and others. Halibrand is still known for their Quick Change Rears.
The Halibrand Cobra III is billed as a Genuine Retro Wheel, not a look-a-like.

Oh yea...they are Old School, for sure.
