Agreed....I don't know Dave, but I do know Jerry. I'm not saying Imenace hasn't had a bad experience with him. I'm just saying there are lots of guys who have had bad experiences with every vendor. I wouldn't get on a public forum and put them down. Heck, it's not like someone inadvertantly blew a motor...they had a tune that didn't work for them....we've all been there.
I do however think Jerry personally know's how to tune well. I've seen him in action many times on various Ford products.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just wouldn't go out of my way to give mine in public.
I've been involved in Ford related forums for a very long time. I don't try to make any enemy's, I actually go out of my way to be friends with everyone. Having fun and making friends is what it's all about. I felt necessary to chime in when people make personal attacks. If you have an issue, take care of it offline...that's the way it works.
I own a business and see this stuff happen to others all the time. Fortunately I try to keep all my customers happy, but there's always one or two that aren't. You do what you can..but you hope they don't publicly put you down because of something that didn't work out the way they had wanted.
And that's all I got to say about that....

As for the 1/4 mile times, you foucused on my stating ET. I didn't state MPH because I was speaking in general. MPH on most stock L's is 99-100 (at least down here in South Florida). So, to understand correctly, 425 RWHP is good for 12.0's at 112 with traction? I haven't dynoed since mods, but I really nee to get to the track.
The video and timeslip are right there on my web page.
Eric, why are you protecting him? He's clearly in the wrong and ignoring *HIS* problem.
And just for the record. I've dealt with him in the past on a ford product as well. The final tune was awsome. The road of pain to get there was quite bumpy. FYI

Blown347Hatch,
By the way, 12.0@112 can be done very easily. I have personally ran a 12.0@109 with a 1.69 60'.

everything mark(l-menace) said is true. so before everyone gets worked up over it, just walk away. no need to argue. i went to get a few baseline pulls done at the same dyno for my 6.0 diesel Excursion and was told something was wrong with my truck. i think i had 8,000 miles on it nothing at all on it, not even a filter. dave strapped down on the dyno and preceeded to do the pulls in drive 2, everyone knows you gotta GET IT INTO 1:1 (4th)gear. oh and he didn't even try to hook up a rpm sensor so all he did was measure hp
and he charged me full price even though we didn't use the o2 sensor.

Maybe dyno dave is inept at driving a car on a dyno? If he was dynoing in 2nd gear or some other stupid move like that it would make a huge difference.
My tune from jerry made 417 rwhp and i ran 12.90's at 107 blowing the tires off in 1st gear. The local dyno operator is very experienced and keeps his dyno in tip top shape, replacing all the sensors and cleaning and maintaining it meticulously.
A beat-up dyno that isnt working well is just as good as no dyno.
I can sympathize with your situation but accusations that Jerry was demoted and pirated ford software are untrue, and not something that is of your concern.
Sal is a great tuner and bends over backwards for people, I can only say good about him.

l-menace, call me at 407-774-2447. I am the only one at SCT who can resolve this for you, so we need to talk. Jerry has a lot going on, and he goes to a lot of different dynos and tunes a lot of different cars. Because of that too many people are contacting him and he's unable to respond. What would you do if you had several hundred emails a day coming in from people asking questions and trying to get their car tuned. For that reason anyone who has a communication problem with Jerry needs to talk to me. We can fix this.

I'm not going to argue with you Brian, I think you do wonderful work and I've spoke with you extensively regarding the eaton porting and you did a GREAT job. I'm simply stating my experience with Jerry.

I understand your frustrations, and I think we need to talk to try and work this out. But I do not think your accusations were justified or in any way apropriate.
I will also take into consideration your experience at that shop, and make note of it.
