Smile Lightning goes l0.9

In May when the Houston Ford Fun weekend occured I was very disappointed that the State Bass Tournment that I am involved with was the same weekend. My brother dropped off my Lightning at Strickly Performance to be worked on. A Big Thanks goes to JDM Engineering, Jim D'Amore and Sean Lacko for installing new fuel injectors and Kenne Bell supercharger. It was time to go to the Dyno machine with results 602 Horsepower, 705 pounds of Torque. Jim then took the truck to Houston Raceway Park for the Fun Ford Weekend. It was track time, after several runs of 11.1 & 11.2 Jim went for it. He ran a 10.9 at 122 miles per hour. A special thanks to Jim and Sean at JDM Engineering for taking good care of my truck since I couldn't be there.

Thanks,

Leonard Watson

Hostile!

A quick read of the first 10 or so threads on the board right now indicates that Jim either had a BAAAAAD day at work today or is pounding the barley pops a little early tonight.

Which is it, Chief?

You're laying the smack down fast and furious (and sparing me the trouble in most cases).

WOW tuff crowd tonight

Geez, it's the guys first post, go easy on him

WELCOME TO F-150 Leonard AND CONGRATS ON YOUR TRUCK RUNNING THAT AWESOME NUMBER

I know a lot of people don't understand why Jim/JDM races so many of his customer trucks, but for the Lucky few that have 10 second trucks, they know it takes massive tuning and sometimes lots of extra's to FINALLY dial in a Lightning to run 10's at the track, and yet still be a safe running street vehicle, and actually run very much like the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
V, Don, and many others drive all over the country with their's

Running a 10 in a street vehicle with all the Looks and Comfort
of a new vehicle is just awesome in my book. Unfortunately I think it cost waaaaaaaaaaaay to much to do it in a lightning, but for those that do, they know Dyno's don't mean ****t, it's the 1320 that tells it all, and Jim happens to do his best tuning on the 1320.

Very smart move in my opinion Leonard,
Hats off to Jim JDM and YOUR 10 SECOND BEAST, CONGRATS

Now about that time slip, hehehehehehe................

I was there also and witnessed it. The track was not great that day...traction was poor to say the least!

However I managed to run a 10.87 @ 122.5 which is my best to date ET.

After Jim laid down that 10.90, I had to step up and try to beat it...lol

I think it's funny how all these 10 second slips are ran by JDM and not the actual truck owners. So I suppose JDM has *thousands* of 10 second trucks, but only a handful of capable customers to squeeze those timeslips out.
