My brother dropped off my Lightning at Strickly Performance to be worked on. A Big Thanks goes to JDM Engineering, Jim D'Amore and Sean Lacko for installing new fuel injectors and Kenne Bell supercharger. It was time to go to the Dyno machine with results 602 Horsepower, 705 pounds of Torque. Jim then took the truck to Houston Raceway Park for the Fun Ford Weekend. It was track time, after several runs of 11.1 & 11.2 Jim went for it. He ran a 10.9 at 122 miles per hour. A special thanks to Jim and Sean at JDM Engineering for taking good care of my truck since I couldn't be there.

Thanks,

Leonard Watson

PROUD TO HAVE YOU ON THIS BOARD TOM P.S. I MIGHT BE A LITTLE JEALOUS BECAUSE MINE WON'T RUN IN THE 10's I DON'T THINK

There are many capable 10 second Lightning owners on this board.

I know many of them personally.

Many Lightning owners allow there tuner to test the truck prior to delivery, especially when your tuner is as good of a driver as Jim D'amore!

It was a tough call for Leonard that weekend. Run a Ten second pass or win a National Bass Fishing Tournament. Luckily Jim was on hand to take controls of the truck while Leonard was out baggin some bass. Congrats on a Great weekend for you.

Leonard, I am happy for you, and there is nothing wrong with the tuner running some T&T on the Lightning to tune it in......and if he happens to ran a 10 so be it. You will have plenty of them under your belt soon. In most cases those who attack you don't even run in the 11s...............BTW I was there as well when he ran the 10.

hmmm more online drama!!!!!

Will it ever stop?!?!

If four or five people witnessed the run.... then how come u guys just can't believe it???

And there is nothing wrong with throwing the keys to your tuner every now and then..... I let johnny make test passes in my truck every know and then just so he can see how its running...... and I get to watch it go down the track!

awwww isnt that sad......

someone on here actually said what everyone was thinking. Give the owner the keys and lets see a 10 sec truck. Nothing against JDM....... Jim is obviously a good driver, but what good is it if the owner cant do it? Get over it cheerleaders.

Lets see the best you guys can do with replys now. Pissing contest begins.........now

A 10.9 is a 10.9. If I could train a monkey to drive mine faster I would. Unless its bracket racing who cares who drives it.

Congrats Leonard.

Leonard congrats on owning a truck that is capable of doing ten's.

My 1st time to a 1/4 mile track back in Feb this year, I was able to pull off a terrible 13.3. After 3 frustrating runs I let a friend who had been racing a while run the truck and he pulled a 13.0. After talking to him about how he launched the truck, I went out on the next run and pulled 2 12.91's.

So handing the keys to someone else with a little experience is well worth its weight in gold. From what the post says Leonard couldn't make it to the track, but maybe when he does go the truck might go 10.8's after talking to Jim about techniques.

Congrats Leonard!!

I've been on this board a very long time, but now I rarely post anymore due to all these new members not being too friendly.
