Thumbs up Thanks Mark / LFP

As some of you know I had some traction bar clearance problems with my crappy flowmaster exhaust. Ordered the Bassani from mark on tuesday and he said it would be there the following monday. Well on friday when I got back from work, it was already there on my porch What an awsome price on it too. Not to blow his cover but it was only $619!

Hopefully i'll have some pics of the install when I am done getting everything on. Did I make the right choice going with the Bassani?

Also, I've heard the clamps are garbage, I picked up some U bolt type clamps the other day, what do you guys suggest I use?

You are going to love the sound of the Bassani...
Have someone tac-weld it after you do the install.

I heard that voids the warranty, but has anyone ever had any problems with the cat-back, none that i've heard of. Thanks for the info, I may just do that..

If you don't tack weld then do use the U clamps, not the 'B' ones........from what I've read on these forums.

I bought my Bassani from Mark/LFP several years ago now. I received great service and great prices then too...

The only problem I have had with mine is that the three rubber "dogbones" all split at the same time for me - leaving the entire cat back & X-pipe being supported by nothing more than the U-bolts. Thankfully I caught it in time before it fell completely off.

Bassani wanted to charge quite a bit for the replacement "dogbones" though. I just ended up reusing the stock rubber hangers - which seems to work pretty well.

I bought the Magnaflow, but mine did pop off with the supplied clamps. I assume they're similar. Since installing the "U" bolts, I haven't had a problem. Buy the U bolts... don't be a victim of cat back pop off!

Well I got the exhaust put on yesterday and I got to say I'm impressed with the sound. However, as much as everyone said the flowmasters sounded like crap, they were alot louder and deeper than the bassani at idle and in the lower RPM's. The only difference in sound is in the upper RPM's. It really screams at WOT. I havent got to get on it too much because the roads were wet from all the rain. I hit it at 40 on the way home yesterday and the backend got loose so I backed off.

Hopefully it gets louder after a few days like everyone says but overall I am happy with the fit and quality of the system.

What everybody already said...........

screw the bassani clamps, replaced w/heavy duty U-bolt tyle clamps.

screw the bassani dogbone "rubbers".....factory ones are the best

stick a set of longtubes in front of the bassani and you'll love the sound.

And 1 last thing....You bought your bassani cheaper than I did from Mark 3 yrs ago
