I'd like to see a 160 or 180 mph speedometer, 150 mph is nothing.

I e-mailed autometer again. Here it is along with their response: "Don't want to bother you too much but isn't there enough of a market out there for a hi-po version of your current f-150 gauge cluster that it would justify making a different version or revising the current one. There's a lot of guys out there that have hopped up their f-150s by adding blowers, turbos, and/or nitrous. I understand that you may not want to make one specifically for the Lightning community by replacing the volt meter with a mechanical boost but that's fine. Most Lightning owners as well as those that have supped up their trucks have probably already purchased one or more of your many performance gauges. What I'm saying is that I know a lot of f-150 owners like the look of your new gauge cluster but if you were to replace the 100 mph with a 150 mph, like on the mustang version, a lot of them would be willing to make the purchase. Please, let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks."

and their response: "The clusters we make for the F-150 are plug & play models. They use the Ford sensors & ECU to operate the cluster. We have no plans of offering a cluster that differs in operation from the factory cluster.

Marc"

Anyone know where we should go from here or what we can do?

The Lightning cluster is a Ford Factory unit! All they would have to do is revise the 100mph face to the 150mph face. Just like the difference between our speedo and the reg F150. They do not have to make a completly different set up. Just my 2 cents. Seems like maybe one of the vendors might have more success with Autometer. Artie

I want one too, I dont see what the big deal is on why they want make them for us. Once they do make them they will prob. be like 600.00 for our trucks, the ones for the Mustang GT are 450.00.

Maybe Artie's idea would work. Anyone have any pull with a vendor? If you do try talking them into talking to autometer about our situation.

I was thinking the exact samething Artie, I don't understand why he's acting like I'm asking him to make a totally new setup.

Anyways, if anyone can help, let try the vendor idea.

Shocktherapy, I just e-mailed the guy that originally sold the unit. Hopefully he'll e-mail me back and point us in the right direction as to where we might get our hands on one.

Thanks, just let me know. I think it would be a fun project to modify one and make it work in my truck.

I was thinking.. Since it uses the stock electronics out of the original cluster, all you would need to do is get the 0-100 off and have someone make an overlay that says 0-150.
