Smile Just installed the $27 mod!

I think it looks pretty good on my silver L.

One question though, what did you guys do where the piece of trim has to pass under the Ford oval?
I had to let the trim come out around the plastic surrounding the oval just so it would look straight when you look at it head on. However, you can still see it is pushed out a little.
Did you guys relieve the back side of the trim so it would fit flush under the oval?

Thanks,

Eric

Will do.
I'll take the pics when I get home today and post them up tonight.

I still need to do something about where the trim passes underneath the Ford oval. I saw that Redlightn 02 just put a larger bezel around the Ford oval but I'm trying to fix it without anything else.

Has anyone trimmed the back of the chrome trim to clear the bottom of the Ford oval?

Eric

Mine was trimmed good around the oval, but I wanted something a little different so I added the oval. To trim around the Ford logo you need to match the angle of the oval by cutting with a sharp razor and start taping down the molding from the Ford logo toward the outside and NOT from the outside in, that way you'll be able to make sure it fits tight and proper. It might take a few tries to get the proper angles but it's well worth it, at least you're not spending $300, the cost of a Harley grill.

Is the the stock Harely grill plastic? If so, I think this is a great alternative and not ghetto at all. Now some of the other things you do might qualify, but this is genious.

Cool, I'll try that. I'll just pull that piece off and use some extra trim I have to start from the middle and work to the outside.

Thanks!

Well the other stuff I did might be no more when I get my L back from the body shop. No more graphics and no home made spoiler, although I might get the Cervinis spoiler, we'll see.
