NTIMD8,

Would love to see a pic of the '69 big-block car. I honestly enjoy my '69 454 (originally a 427) convertible as much or more than my '02 Z06.

Cali,

There are definitely a lot of great Vette owners. I am new(er) to that community and just can tell that it is much more segregated than say the L community or the Mustang crowd.

It's too bad Vette owners (at least the C5 crowd, soon to be C6 crowd) gets stereotyped, but being an owner myself and reading, watching, listening to what I have... I have to say that often the stereotype is right on. It's a shame b/c I'm a hot-rodder, and I get lumped in with the "gold chain" crowd.

Ya, I've seen those chumps everyone is talking about too. Makes me want to puke. I'm suprised they can even drive a stick.

Probably the coolest crowd I've seen (out here anyway) is the baller dudes who get into performance vehicles. The money flows and I've seen some C5's that were jaw dropping. About 1/2" off the ground. Huge offset 19's with like 25 series rubber (if they make that). Cowl hoods. Looked like it could pull 2 g's on the skidpad

Same thing with big bore rockets. Huyabusas and ZX12's to die for. Must be nice when cash "ain't no thang".
Cool guys.

BD
