What are these Trucks worth?
I am selling my 99 Lightning with 50K miles on it it has a few upgrades, and I am asking around $18,000-$18,500.....I did a Kelly Blue Book report on it, and it came back that the retail value was $20k.
My main question is...What is a truck like mine worth? I love the Lightning, however I am looking to get into something with 4X4 and a bit more room. (An Expedition!)
Is $18k too much to ask for a truck like mine?
Any suggestions as far as what the truck is worth will help me alot!
Thank You for your time,

I just traded/sold my '99 w/ 44k miles. It was in impeccable condition, and like yours it had some very minor/tasteful mods.
Carmax offered me $15.5k, if I remember correctly. It may have been closer to $15k. I just laughed.
My Ford dealer offered me more...I'd have to go back and look at the paperwork b/c my memory fails me, but I got ~$16.2k + the tax savings due to the trade...so it was ~$17.5k net.
This sure beat trying to sell it privately.

Aww Herb, that sucks man. You didn't even give it a chance. You never signed up for the DelValLO. Hell you weren't even gonnna gimme back my hitch were you, lol. We all just got together on Sunday, you missed a great time. I've pondered selling mine several times when it pi$$ed me off. But I'd miss out on all the great people and fun times that this community has to offer. Oh well, good luck with what you decide to do.
It might depend on where your selling it. For real.
I looked in the DC area and the 200 miles sourounding it and I went with the best deal:
1999 White SVT Lightning, 38k, 3yr left on extended warranty, w/ a few mods...... for 17,500.
BUT most L's w/ descent milage were AT LEAST 18 and up.
I almost laughed at a dealer when they totaled up the figures on a silver 2000 w/ 50k, after tax and title, was almost 23 grand.
