Look at it this way, had Algore been in office this bill would have passed no problem, it’s a democratic type of bill any way.

Here is the catcher, had Algore been in office not only would some people lose overtime pay, they would be getting less money in their checks because Algore would insure the government KEPT more of your money.

Vote for Kerry this November and you will insure to shrink your future checks in the name of feeding Oprah’s family circle of whiners and useless human beings…

If you think President Bush is bad you wait and see what happens when Kerry gets in office because all your rich basturds making more then $75k will be paying the MAN. That’s right Kerry thinks anybody making over $75k (single) or $150k (married) should be paying their fair share of taxes and those of you that make that or more are NOT PAYING YOUR FAIR SHARE DAMIT!!!!!!!!!

Kerry loves them union workers because they make some damn good wages for him to get some tax money from. Why do you think he really supports unions? That’s right for your campaign donations, regardless if you like him or not, and your TAX MONEY on PAYDAY…

Unions did some good back in the 50's and 60's, but are pretty pointless these days, in my opinion. The hard working man doesn't need a union, its the not-so-hard working man that really benefits from unions. Think about it. I know my union built Lightning is second to none in quality...not!

Mr. Skelton, it appears you are a social darwinist.

socialist running dog.

If you cant write a check or pay cash for any mods to your truck at any point in time that you own the truck then you should vote for Kerry. He runs the party line that doesn't make people deal with thier actions and blames everything on everyone else. I bet you took that nice check Mr. Bush sent you and thank'd him many times over and bought something for your truck???

And yes, labor unions should be demolished or at least let the owners of the company fire those that strike. I work for several plants, and every plant that has a union has associates that form far worse attitudes toward their company than the non onion company's.

It's funny because I have more money than most of the Bush votes in this thread, yet I'll still be voting for Kerry.

You can insult me all you want. In the end, it's MY money and MY vote. :santa:

With all due respect, don't vote for someone because you hate the other person, vote for someone because it is the one that has more of your values then the other guy.

If you truly hate President Bush, but don't really care for Kerry then vote for Nader if you have that option, or vote for a write-in.

President Bush is not the best man out there, but of the two, and in my opinion, he is the better choice for many reasons...

Have you seen Kerry try to catch a football, DAMN your going to vote for that...

Not completely true. Yes in the end it is your vote, however if that vote is for Kerry it won't always be your money, less of your money will be your money and give Kerry enough time and you WON'T have more money then most Bush votes in this thread because we will all be EQUAL...

$.50 per gallon is a small price to pay to get that idiot out of the oval office.

Voting for Nader = throwing your vote away. I know the Republicans are trying to get Democrats to vote for Nader and I think that is a sad ploy to try and win. Almost as sad as the whole Dade County fiasco...

Indeed.

It is my theory that what made America great was not its winners, but rather its losers. Whereas other societies coddled losers and made "safety nets" for them, we forced people to earn their keep.

Since the imposition of the permanent income tax and the consequent rise of social engineering through forced wealth redistribution, we have lost what made us great. For example, without welfare, there would be no welfare state. Those people would work or die. And without handouts to bums (AKA "the homeless"), we would not have half of the homeless problem that we have. Tolerating underperformance just breeds more underperformance.

"You gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure."

My father grew up with seven brothers and sisters in a one-room (not one bedroom) house. Both he and my mother just graduated high school. But they worked their butts off to improve their lot and make sure that their children did better. Both my sister and I have master's degrees and good careers. All without money from the government (except for student loans, of which I have repaid every cent of collage and am now chipping away at my $130K law school bill).

Screw Bush. And screw Kerry.

Republicans want you to surrender your personal freedoms. Democrats want to take your money and give it to the undeserving.

Vote Libertarian.

If everyone has the "throw your vote away" mentality, America will never escape the corrupt two-party system.

I don’t understand your logic but if it makes you happy to give more of your money to many that have decided not to work then that is your decision to make. However I do not wish to give one penny to those that have decided not to do for themselves.

As far as the Dade County fiasco, well that was due to a democratic controlled event and they screwed it up big time. If you’re referring to the recount then you may have not read that every single recount done, by independent groups and democrat groups proved that President Bush won Florida.

When I see a homeless person two thoughts cross my mind. First, what an idiot for living in the condition they choose to live in and second how screwed up people like Kerry have made things for these people.

It boils down to this:

Liberals like Kerry –

”Give a man a fish, feed him for a day…”

Conservative, or someone like myself –

”Teach a man to fish and they feed themselves for life…”
