Predator b ull s hit

I just installed a new tune from a new vendor, and the predator changes I made myself previously stayed the same after the new tune was loaded. (For example, I retarded timing 2%, and added 6% more fuel--after loading the new tune, and checking the parameters, the predator still showed the respective changes.)

Do you need to reset to default settings before installing a new tune?

I figured after downloading a new tune, fuel table and spark advance should read 0%. If anyone knows, please tell me.

Thanks, Aaron

Now I'm totally confused. I'll read the manual (again). I just thought someone could tell me quickly here since that's what we're on here for--- to help eachother out, not break eachother's *****, right? If you know the answer you should have just posted it instead of being a hard as s.

You have to reset to default settings, and then when you reload, you "modify tune" and then install. I ran into the same thing.

Just remember, that whatever adjustment you do, it does not add or subtract that amount from the last tune you installed, but from the original custom tune you received from your "tuner" in the first place. Example: If you had 5% fuel added the last time, and you wanted more than 5% fuel added, after you "reset" to default settings, your next "modify tune" would have to be >5%.

I hope this makes sense.

thanks for your help sharpshooter and blown...

But, just to make sure I understand:

I had only a 4# pulley, and I switched to a 6#. When I did so, I added fuel (6%). I just got a new tune set for a 6# pulley. I installed it without resetting the original default settings for the custom tune tuned for the 4#er. When I checked the settings, they still showed -6%. I assumed it should be 0 like it usually is when you install a custom tune--- so I reset the default settings, and then installed the new tune again. Now the settings show 0 again. I will assume that every time you get a custom tune the new default settings for fuel and timing should be 0. Just wanted to make sure I'm running the tune written for the 6#er now, and not that tune -6%. This is hard to describe, so I hope you can help out. Thanks,

Aaron

did your new numbers beat my numbers, or do you have to switch from Brisk to Denso?

yeah, just keep nailing the throttle, and advance your timing to like 30 like some have advised you, and you might be faster than me.

p.s. George just joined the 6# Quincy club, and ordered trac bars.

Metro vs. south side, bitch!
