2004 L rebates?

Are there any rebates coming up for the '04 L in September? Here in TX there is apparently a $1000 rebate through August.

If this helps...

No info on September.

I bought a new '04 at Invoice, less the $1,000 in dealer cash, less $860 Ford Motor Credit cash. Not sure how I got the FMC cash, it might have been from my previous vehicle.

No doc fees. Just Invoice - $1,000 - $860 + $25 tag + Tax.

Ricart Ford www.ricart.com, they had at least two white ones left a week ago and might have more by now. High volume store. Call ahead and you could be in and out in 90 minutes.

One theory is that the cash will increase in September, as '04's become less attractive. One theory is that the cash will remain the same. Another is that the cash will go away, since there are no more L's coming until sometime in late '05 and the lots are getting thin.

Plano Texas is pretty far from Columbus Ohio though, you should be able to find a volume dealer somewhere nearby?

Good luck

Thanks for the info. Can you find out where the $860 came from? I am financing through FMC for the new one, but the existing one is not. If that's $860 more I can keep, I'd sure like to.

FMC

It may not be available to you. The day after I bought the truck, I received a letter from Ford Motor Credit offering me savings. It had been mailed before I bought the truct.

Ricart was smart enough to look me up somewhere (Ford Motor Credit Database?) and determine that the letter had been mailed to me. Then somehow they applied the cash before I received the letter.

Does that make sense?

Yea, I think so. Sounds like you were already financed through FMC, so they sent you an incentive to buy a new vehicle as part of that. Good to know!

Thanks...
