My point was these guys have to endure hell, so don't act all patriotric with me. Save the speech for some deadbeat on welfare or drug addict that obviously doesn't care about making this a better country or world.
Anytime you want to get off you high horse is fine by me. I realize you never said you didn't appreciate these brave people, however I was commenting on what you did say, which was negative.

As far as I am concerned I don't know you from Adam, and frankly negitive people are not worth my time. BTW are you a drug addict or on welfare? You never did clarify that.

Removed. I don't care to argue about ideals on a tech board and over a computer.

The argument ends here as I doubt people care to see us bickering back and forth.

Stating facts as you say, in this case, has everything to do with being negative. If you can tell me one fact that you stated, that was positive, then I will apologize, otherwise you apologize.

You are correct about one thng. Other people don't care to see us bicker, but now you are insulting my intelligence, so yes, I do see a need for this to end.

See you soon Shorty. I'm over here now supporting 11th MEU.
Semper Fidelis!

racetested- I see what you mean about nobody wanting to be in a war and until today I would have agreed with you 100%. Earlier tonight two of my friends were hit my shrapnel from a mortar on their way to the shower. One suffered a collapsed lung and shrapnel above and below his heart, and the other was hit in the ear and leg. When I heard that I sort of had a "reaffirmation of faith" so to speak. I didn't really care much about coming over here and thought this could be resolved peacefully. Now I see that there are people who only understand the language of war and as long as those people continue to fight for chaos, I am proud to be here fighting to make them understand that democracy is the only way. But, as you are correct, I don't know anyone here who is happy to be here. I know that you are behind us every step of the way and thank you for all your support.

Again, thank all of you for supporting the Soldiers/Marines/Sailors/Fly Boys that are here in Iraq fighting for what is right.

Bama SVT 50,
If you and your platoon need any bottled water, dry snacks or toiletries let me know. I know these items are not in large supply to you guys by the government.

Racetested- Fortunately for me and the rest of the people at this site, we are really accessible, so they truck in new pallets of cases upon cases of bottled water now. They try to keep a big enough stockpile on hand so that when we are attacked, they can lay off the deliveries for a few days. Also, alot of units use FOU money (for official use) to get sundry packets delivered here. There are alot of toiletries left here by units who have already re-deployed. About the snacks, all the families have been great about sending cheese crackers, slim jims, ramen noodles, and all kinds of other goodies. I'm a deployed national guardsmen, and we know how to pack. We came w/ fridges and ovens, microwaves, the whole nine yards. We eat beans and ramen noodles more often that we go to the chow hall.

I guess you have it made then. What more could a guy ask for.
Being a smartass here.

Hopefully you guys will be able to come home soon. I know from first hand experience from a few friends that came back, that you guys are doing a good job and a lot of the local people are grateful. Definitely a long road left over there.
