My squeak got worse after I installed my FTVB. No problem though, that mod was totally worth it!

I'm going to order that Metco setup from Tim as well shortly!

Of course. Your engine is dropping RPMs faster now on the shift, slowing the accessory belt quicker, causing the "chirp" or squeel.

hey guys I have a question about this as well. I have a 2001 Lightning with a stock upper pulley and 2# lower pulley. But lately if I nail it in the truck, and let off just before the tranny shifts, I hear a loud squeal as if coming from the belt......would this set up eliminate that squeal for me ?

It helps with aftermarket (smaller) blower pullies. A smaller pulley has less belt wrap. The Metco pulley "wraps" the belt around the blower pulley more, so you have better grip

So then by accesssory belt, the one that the alternator runs on is what you are referring to? Sorry....just a bit confused on that. I've always understood it as there being the two setups on the truck....the supercharger belt and the accessory belt...hence why I was asking.

You can fix the accessory belt squeal by first verifing that your belt is good and then by changing the tensioner.
