Stan - truck is looking good and establishing the top-end and open course limits for our trucks. Would be fun to drive, but not sure i have what it takes to ride as a passenger. The passenger seat always seems to have an extra 100 hp and run at least 50 mph paster than the driver's seat.

See we are running similarly modified upper plenums. I used a piece of the same aluminum pipe to clean up and improve the short turn radius as well as the long side evident in your picture. Mine is a bit wider in the curve with also helps airflow. Also filled the EGR trough that runs across bottom at start of short turn radius. Not sure that these are any better or cheaper and certainly a lot more work than the new aftermarket manifold, but did it before the new stuff came to market.

Be careful though, the same dip engineer who was so full of himself will jump on here and tell us what a hog out job we did and how it will ruin your performance; you could probably be 10 mph faster if you had not altered it

I just noticed Ruslow modified his intake a little.
Just from looking at it, it appears that the air flow will be straighter going INTO the Supercharger!

THOUGHTS?

I believe that this was not intended to be a performance modification, but rather to accomodate the fact that Stan moved his engine down and back in the frame.

how so? the pipe material he added actually makes the rear corner of the plenum stick out more. take a look at the back of yours next time you get a chance.
