Question Magnum or Kenne Bell for stock block L

I've found a buyer for my stock eaton on ebay w/ no reserve auction so now comes the big choice......

Kenne bell or Magnum for the stock block daliy driver?

I have full ceramic bassani exhaust w/ cats and an Afco Heat exchanger and a 4# lower which would give me 16 #'s w/ the Magnum or 15#'s with the KB

i was thinking the Magnum w/ Electric Fan and Cobra h2o pump and SCT hand held for the price of the KB without tuning included

but ive heard people running much faster 1/4's with kenne bell at lower boost levels 11.40-11.80's at 115-118 mph but puts much more strain on the stock block at lower RPM's (twin screw design)

VS 11.90-12.30's at 110-112 with the Magnum
(but i love that sound of the Magnum)

Not looking to spring for the built block until next summer

All advice and input would be much appreciated

Thank you D

Either one will do the trick...that being said, I would not buy the cobra water pump, it's a waste of money.

The MP will get you into the 10's with a built block, so will the KB. I'm sure the KB will do it with less boost though. The twin screw design is just much more efficient at higher boost levels required for high HP.

I could have bought either one, but went with the MP because that left me with more $$$ for other things, and the MP will get me where I want to go on a stock block. My goal is 450RWHP on a safe tune with a 4lb lower and the MP. I guess I'll wait and see if I make it with that combo. I've also heard that the MP has a unique sound that everyone seems to speak highly about.

My decision would be the Magnum Powers for one reason,
Reliability

No doubt the KB's are capable of giving more power,
and are in fact a bigger and badder S/C, however there
have been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many KB failures for
me to ever feel safe with one. Some are on their 3rd KB
already, and MANY are on their 2nd (and yes many are still
on number 1)

If I needed a 2nd and 3rd reason too,
it would be Looks, (the KB is not exactly beautiful)
and Price, as said the Mag's are kicking *** for A LOT
less, and don't forget most KB owners will need another
1-2 K in Fuel Pumps, Injectors, and Dyno Tuning straight
out of the box. When it comes time for me, THE MAG IT IS

What ever happen to the Works

Best bet is to call JDM and ask, but I believe they are in the neighborhood of $1595-1695 for the case with no rotors.

The rotors are moved forward in the MP case by almost an inch, and it's an entire new case and snout design which makes it much more efficient.

Thanks guys, it looks like the Magnum is the way of choice especialy when it comes to reliability issues.

Although a friend can get the KB new for 2700-

I should be able to get the Magnum w/ rotors and a Electric fan
and 2 hrs Dyno time for 2700-

BTW who makes a good E-fan setup?
