X-Plan Info

In the past 2 years I have been able to support and help many of you all with X-plans. However, I have recently received a memo from corporate. I am not a liberty to post the entire memo so here is a line or two for you all.

"Our employees have done a tremendous job of encouraging their families and friends to buy Ford products using the A-Plan and the Friends and Neighbors X-Plan, and we hope that you will continue to show your loyalty to the Company and support of its products through the use of these Plans.

There appears, however, to be some confusion as to who qualifies to use the X-Plan and this note is intended to clarify how the Plan should be used.

In general, the X-Plan is intended to be used as a means of introducing our products to new customers, and to retain current Ford owners who would otherwise purchase a competitive product. "

With that said, I will not be able to help out any more this year.

Suavy

So in the next couple of years, if someone were to say "Boy I think I'm gonna buy one of those Chevy SS/Dodge Ram SRT-10 instead of a new Lightning, you wouldn't try to dissuade them by offering a x plan?

as a ford hourly employee we are only able to give out 4 x-plans and 4 a-plans a year. i gave out my x-plans before the end of january. now i dont mind giving them out to people that will actually use them but i went to the websight to see if they were used or not and only 2 people have used them so far this year and the same for last year. i guess most people just got to have anything and everything that evryone else on here does so they will ask for a pin even though they have no interest in actually buying a vehicle.

on a side note plan head quarters just sent me a rather cool 1:18th scale model of the 05 mustang gt. for giving away pin numbers and if i were to get all 8 pins used by the end of the year they'll send me a model of the GT before you ask i already gave out my pins.

Well, I'm still in need of an X-Plan code. I'd like to buy a daily driver replacement for my Cadillac!

Look, going from GM to FORD, someone please help me get one.

heheh

I got an X-plan here and a 2004. I'm darn glad I did; the Lightning supply is drying up over the last few months in my area.

Strikes me as funny, that memo from Corporate HQ. We just hung an A,X,Y, and Z Plan scoreboard in our Plant to keep track of the pins we generate to challange other Plants to a "horse race" so to speak. We were also encouraged to distribuate "all" our available plans.
Oh yea, I got the 8 pins for last year, and the 05 Mustang this year.

Suavy, I haven't been to the Plant for the past 5 days as I was down in Bristol playing drag racer, or at least trying to. Once I get back in the Plant tomorrow and check my outlook I will let you know.
