Rob, thanks for all of the detailed info (w/pics). I'll definately change the filter immediately, and plugs as soon as I can get them. In the mean time, I'll crawl around in it... only have to get to work and back for a few days.

Next question: which Denzo's are right for 6#'s? 22's or 24's?

I keep hearing here that colder is better, but is it possible to run too cold? Also, this truck runs in the winter... same as yours, so please take this into account with your recommendation.

Thanks!,
Aaron

I run Denso IT-22's in the ICE COLD NY WINTERS, and to boot I only run a 4lb pulley ALL WINTER LONG, and you've seen my A/F's at 10.nothing, so in my case too cold is not ANY ISSUE, even with my PIG RICH A/F's.
(Same Denso's since the summer of 2002)

l-menace,
I was freaking out when I saw them, saying the same thing,
WHERE THE HELL DID THOSE 3 SPARK PLUG PARTS GO ???
One can only assume the metal got melted, and the porc spit
out a valve ? Been years since (summer of 02), so I got lucky either way

Thanks, Rob.

I just picked up a fuel filter, and have one more local place to try to find the Denzo's (not easy). Thanks for all of the info and advise

I just changed the fuel filter, cut the old one in half, and everything looked fine (except for the mess the hacksaw made)
(picture isn't great)

Then I started pulling plugs. I wasn't able to get any IT-22's, so until I get them, I just pulled 4 plugs to have a look. Nothing suspiscious (at least with those 4). again, picture is useless

So, I don't think the filter was an issue, and at least 1/2 of the plugs are good, so now I don't know what happened again. I'm still gonna switch to the IT-22's, but in the mean time are there any other suggestions?
