Intakes

I did a search on intakes, but did not find any good, positive answers. Which intake do most people buy, I really dont want a box but will consider it if it is better than an open filter. Thanks!

You Def want the Hi Flow over-sized Filter
Most will agree Sal (PSP) and Johnny Lightning (JLP)
have the best cool air set ups.

I have the Airaid intake.

Some might say that its not a good intake, but I like it. I was seeing more boost and more whine after I installed it.

I say any intake is good as long as its a cone filter and not completely open to the very hot temps in the engine bay.

Rob_02Lightning, Where did you get the sticker that's on the front of JLP box? It looks sweet, and really close to stock.

I did the Airaid package. It is well made and assembles easily.

It also make the blower whine loud enough to scare dogs, kids and pedestrians who thought they were safe.

A brother from here (Scott) was making them for all of us for like NOTHING, 5 or 10 Dollars. He happen to work in engraving so he did it as a favor not as a money maker, but then was banned for selling a product without being a Supporting Vendor

I agree 100% and also agree the Airaid is a great box, I should have mentioned that, sorry. I actually wanted that first but it was actually more than the JLP box if you already have the Filter (which I did) You can buy the JLP BOX ONLY for a very reasonable price, use your current hi flow cone filter, and then pipe the cool air yourself, as I did.

How much of a difference does it make to pipe the hole in the box for the ram air? If I just bought the one without ram air, is that ok? Will I still get that blower whine?

the best lookin one IMO is the Razors Edge MOtorsports one.. 289+shipping but you get that nifty carbon fiber tube running from the tb all the way to the filter pretty much (with MAF of course)
