Magnum Powers Question
Magnum Powers Question
From what ive been reading, the Magnum Powers blower comes with a 2.70 pulley, im guessing it smaller than the eaton stock pulley, isthat correct ?, what would my boost be at with the 2.70 and a 4lb lower ?. I have a stock bottom end so I want to keep it around 14-15 psi, that should be safe right ?.

There are a few guys here with the MP and Stock Bottom End maybe they can chime in.

I'm about to do the same thing...that is, put on an MP blower and have a 4lb lower with stock manifolds and a Magnaflow catback.
I've been thinking about either losing the cats (off-road pipe) or doing a high-flow cat setup to decrease the backpressure some and drop the boost. I don't want to do the LT's yet due to cost, but may end up doing them down the road a bit. Hopefully with stock manifolds things will work out OK. I'm putting in a Dynojet Wideband Commander to keep a good eye on A/F and will be getting a good safe tune to keep things in check.

The dynojet wideband is supposed to be the shizznit. VERY Accurate!

i have a magnum
it was easy to install
the power is there
i had a dyno before and after although conditions were completely diffrent.
before magnum= 40 degrees 6lb lower and race gas 100 octane,on race tune = 385 hp
after magnum= 95 degrees 4lb lower 91 octane street tune
=401 hp
the elevation is over 3000 feet above sea level here so hp #'s are probably lower than you would expect
magnum= nobrainer
i have taken advantage of the group buy

Do you have stock exhaust manifolds or headers? What kind of boost are you seeing?
stock manifolds for now
ordered the group deal on the headers from jdm
the boost is impossible to measure on stock gauge
its like if you wieghed a 1000 lbs and tried to wiegh yourself on the bathroom scale
