Painting supercharger?

the other day i was in an autoparts store and came across a caliper painting kit. i was wondering if it was possible to paint the s/c with this kit?

i'm thinking it may not work b/c of the finish on the s/c may not let it stick to it. hope i'm wrong, b/c a black s/c would look sweet with a zex brain in the background.

later

Ive painted 2 superchargers black with 500 degree engine paint. I just scuffed up the sc finish and applied 1 coat every 5 min for a total of 4 coats and they came out great. No problems.

A little brake cleaner with a rag and it`s ready for paint. I used Duplicolor gloss black engine paint from Wal-Mart. I also taped off and sprayed the line on the upper intake. No flaking anywhere, just show n shine. I like it, it looks clean and factory.

that looks good, and superford, we've all seen that..... it looks nice. there is a powdercoating co. here in jackson, that did a friends rims in black for like $300, and look damn good. only problem is, i dont know how to remove the roaters or can they be baked also?

if nothing, i'll just get some high heat paint and do it.

you guys got some pics of the black on our s/c's?

With us Silver owners, and possibly the White owners, we dont really get the cool option for color matching our superchargers. Silver paint would just look.........well....... like the stock grey color. And for the White owners, whoever has the ***** to paint their supercharger white, has a lot of maintance cleaning to look forward to. I wish my truck was Sonic blue! that built and painted engine of Superfords was awsome.
-Just a rant

Well I decided to paint my plenum today before I install it...what do you think? Think the S/C would look good painted also?

K now polish the 3 ribs on top of the plenum to give it some BLING and you'll be set

it looks great as is, but the polished ribs MIGHT be the finishing touch. I can't decide.

Im going to do something similar . Black charger, polished plenum with the 3 ribs on the top of the plenum painted black. The whole setup should be similar to how SuperFords engine looked when I do it.... only it will be black instead of sonic blue, the plenum thing I just mentioned, and it will not happen for quite some time
