Yes,
It is spray paint...duplicolor high heat engine paint. I think I will polish the ribs on top to add a little extra to it. Next...the raw KB!! Check my gallery out for other pics of the painting, sorry I'm not sure how to post the pictures right to the thread. Later...

Yes; mine is spray paint. A couple of coats, and it is the high temp engine/brake paint. The rough surface makes it turn out looking great. If it was a slick finish it would be very hard to paint with rattle *****. I have since painted my SVO singleblade gloss black also.

I painted mine to match the outside and my hat. If you don't like red and yellow you better look away!

Well despite all the rain I managed to get the S/C painted last night...have some detailing to do before putting the plenum on it. What do you think?

after getting all the nitrous stuff in line under the hood, and makeing sure that the fitment was perfect, i took it back down, and removed the blower for painting. i decided to paint it black, and i may polish the lines up top like casey did.

while its off, i went ahead and installed my denso it22's. i can't imagine what a pain in the **** it would be to do this with everything on. tomorrow i will remove the intercooler to clean it.

after removing the intercooler, etc. i'll install my mac catback.
later on this week i may or may not install the 4#er. i'm trying to decide on wheather or not to purchase my own tunning device. haven't decided on the base tweecer model, or the sct tunning racer package.

here's pic of the charger:

i finished installing my plugs this morning, and found this:

not only did it have a build up on it, it looked like it had begun to get too hot.....hard to tell in the pic, but it may have started to melt. it was so loose, i could have almost blew on it and it would have started to back out.

sometime this weekend i'll try to find time to polish the intake and get it painted.

the only thing i lack is recieving the nitrous plate and mounting the s/c back on.

i'm going to make some vids of b/f and after with the new exhaust, so that'll be on later.

well i got around to doing one of the lines. i took me about an hour and a half. i used 4 different grits, and polished it with a mag/alm cleaner.

i'll go back and clean it up with a 1000 grit when all is done. for now, here is a quick pic

So how did you guys polish ribs on the upper plenum without getting the valleys? Did you tape it off or were you just very careful with the polisher? Thanks.

i'm doing this all by hand. no dremel, etc. just sandpaper and water. the surface is raised, so you want polish anything but the top of the surface.

its a long process, but after i finish painting the intake black, that poished aluminum is going to look 100x brighter.

i'll do a whole right up on "how to polish parts" next week, with detailed instructions including: time, parts, price, etc. and of coarse my email is always open for questions. i'll get another stripe done today, and beigin painting it monday after the final stripe is polished.

later
