Question Am i really doing this....nitrous question

yeah i gues si am really askign this. Just for *****s and giggles i guess. But im considering running a small shot of spray<50 shot more than likely>. I was wondering where are you guys putting the nozzle at in the intake tube. On the bottom...from the side...in the plenum. Also you think a 4lb with a mild tune<prolly 17 degrees at the most> with a 50 shot used every now and then would be ok on a stock bottom end? Im not trying to set any records just havin fun i guess. Of course i would only be using it every now and then..maybe 3-4 times a year at the track..lol...well thats what im telling myself. I have played with spray and told myself i was done with it forever. but my buddy has a kit just laying around he may let me borrow. . Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks, Vince

You should be fine with a 35-50 shot. My nozzle is in the rubber boot right now but im gonna try and mount it in my phenolic spacer. Im just not sure if the phenolic will tap and thread up.

Can't beat the PSP plate, it's a perfect location.
I used it for a couple of years

Unfortunatly not every nozzle out there will work out with it,
when I switched to the Race Tested Kit they happen to use a very short Nozzle so I had to find a new location.
I decided to drill the Upper Manifold and tap it, it prob took less than 3 minutes start to finish once the TB was off.
I feel it's the ULTIMATE LOCATION

I know they always say measure twice, cut once, BUT THIS IS ME WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE so yes that is an extra hole and plug on the pass side of the Manifold you see to the far left of the picture. It would have worked fine, but if you look at the inside view you can see that our manifold takes a sharp turn to the right, I would have been spraying into the dead corner.

By moving it to the Drivers side (where it is now) the turn works in my favor and I end up with the perfect spray right in the center of the manifold. Works for me.....

And yes your safe as long as you don't over do it

PLace the nozzle as far up stream as you can but yet not in front of the MAF.

Ok thanks guys i wsa thinking about putting it on the drivers side of the inlet boot so it could be easily taken off when i need to. But thanks for the ideas. I was figuring a 35-50shot and not a damn horsepower more. Of course i would be hooking up the purge. I know its kinda ricerish but oh well.

NOS

Probie just ran his truck today with his new nos sestup. 01 w/ 6lb lower, filter. Usually runs 12.9's in the heat we had today. Made a 12.4 pass on a 50 shot. So on the usually 12.5 days he runs in the fall.....knocken on 11's all day long hopefully.

JLP has a nice tune for a 6lb lower, 93 fuel, and a 50 shot.

Al put out over 450 hp and 630ftlbs!!!
