I think I've just about posted every detail I can.

Call Eric at 949-305-6550 or go to www.x-m-p.com and tell him you need a bumpsteer kit for your Lightning.

He said he would be working puting an install instruction sheet together this week.

He said they won't charge until ship, the price will be between $199-$225, and they will call be on Friday and let me know.

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable using this aluminum part? If running slick tears up stock ball joints, I just don't know how well these aluminum threads would hold up.

Address Edwards question well enough to make me happy and I'll take a set.

I have been running one that I made for 2 years that is alum and have had zero problems with it.I do replace the heim at the beginning of each season.I also made one for my 'other car' which is just a track car and it uses 1/2 heim and I have spun it 3 times and still no problems. The big thing here is to make sure that the jam nut is tight. After all there are blocks made of alum and the threads on them are subjected to more than the steering linkage can do.Stan

You'd have to call or email Eric with your concerns regarding the strength....all I know is that they're using materials that are 4x as strong as those used to make the mustang kits.

XMP isn't a fly by night shop. The guy has been around for a while and has built several SEMA cars for Ford. Ford actually just give him a '05 Stang to prep for SEMA.

If anything did break due to poor craftsmanship- materials, design, etc., I'm confident he'd have no problem working with you to resolve the problem.

I don't "performance" drive my truck because of all the crap I have in the bed, but I haven't had any problems since it was installed.

BTW- I got the shock issue worked out...thanks!!

What about funeral arrangements, dealing with the lawyers on your estate, organ donations, etc.?

LOL! I'm really interested in getting this; but I don't know if the benefits outweigh the risk and maintenance.

If it is designed rite and the correct parts are used it is stronger than what you have now.I have bent both of mine [my fault] to about a 10 degree angle and still no failure. I would be more concerned with the person installing them rite than that./that is way I never persuaded marketing the ones I did.Stan
