Chipmaster Revolution chip users, ahoy!
AH HA! I did a search before asking:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ter+Revolution
Anyway, I bought a used CMR from a NLOC classified to put on my Lightning. However, it's been a long time since I've been the Ford tuning world, so please indulge my blissful ignorance while I ask the CMR adopters or anybody else in the know a few questions:
I get the general gist about what this chip does, but:
1. Is this the definative chip to own right now?
2. Does this one use knock sensor feedback to dynamicly control timing?
3. Does it do per cylinder timing advance? (I seem to remember JL mentioning something to that regard in early 2002)
4. Has this chip's abilities proven themselves with our truck's performance?
4. Any personal experiences/comments/ cool facts about the CMR?
Thanks alot in advance!

1. No
2. No
3. I don't know
4. The hardware used on the chip is fine, but the software and tuning files are not.
5. The CMR chip has been out since 2001 and it's capabilities are superseded by the newest SCT chips.
Cool fact about the SCT chips: You can use the memory in the PCM that normally controls the electric fan on a mustang or crown vic, turn it on in the chip and use it to run your e-fan, using stock sensors and senders with no need for additional wiring other than the relay and signal wires from the PCM. With the SCT software you can set on and off temps for hi speed and low speed on the fans. There are many other neat tricks like this in the software.
