Angry For those contemplating QA1's

Let me tell you about my experience ( I apologize in advance for the venting) I put QA1's on my truck this spring, after about 1000 miles the front passenger side started leaking. I called QA1, they told me to ship it back, they would turn it around in one day and send it back. I recieved it "NINE" days later. After another 600 to 700 miles the same shock started leaking. I again called QA1 and they told me to send it back, they would turn it around on the same day, and send it back. I sent it overnight, so I could get it back sooner since I made plans to have JL tune my truck tomorrow. I called on Friday to find out where the shock was and they said they wanted engineering to look at it and he would send it out promising it would be here today. Since PA is a little bit of a drive from Michigan, I called this morning to get a tracking number. We'll it hadn't even been shipped. She told me she would overnight it to me (although I still have to cancel my appointment tomorrow. After I complained I hung up. She called back about 10 minutes later and said the company will not cover the overnight shipping and she wanted $27.50 to ship it overnight! All I can say is that if you are contemplating spending $150 a shock. DONT!

I am lucky I suppose that I don't have problems yet, I am nearing the 1300 mile mark. I like the shocks, they work pretty well for the applications we are using them in.

I wish there was some kind of alternative to give them some competition.

I know Tim's had some problems with them also! Maybe something "class action"

I don't really have a problem with the shocks, I know there are always bad apples in the bunch. I haven't had an issue with any of the other three. It's the poor (actually very poor) customer service that has me ticked!

You are WAY more forgiving than me. The bottom line is that you have had three shock failures. F'in ridiculous.

Wow. Like it came from heaven. These guys will be getting 4 QA1s real soon.

Thanks for a great lead, Don!

I don't see the connection. Driving without a shock is perfectly acceptable. I have driven without fronts and rears.

Heck, with my failed QA1, it was worthless, so it was like driving without a shock for months!
