That's why a G-tech reads "high" on MPH. It estimates your speed RIGHT AT the quarter-mile mark.
Right, but that's only a partial explanation (the one supplied by G-Tech). You are NOT accelerating at a constant rate. Your acceleration at the 1287' mark is way less than at the 60' mark.

The G-Tech reads way high -- 3-4 MPH. No way I gain that much speed over the last 33 ft. But that does not really matter, as I only use it for a before-and-after tuning tool.

Just go get a 100ft measuring tape and measure the damn thing. Itll take you 10 minutes.

Yep. definitely one of the coolest ways

Quite accurate, even without being a military grade unit. (my garmin 60CS can be accurate to about 10 feet with WAAS enabled)
