I own a 2001 White L and I'm interested in buying a Factory Tonneau Cover. I'm having problems though as I have found out that there are supposedly two types. I know you can buy one from ford for 327 dollars just like the factory one only thing is it is black and it sits higher than the factory one which apparently is not the actual kind that they put on from the factory. Then i have been talking to a gentlemen who has one that is off his 03 L but it is gray in color and it sits lower on the bed which he said is the actual ones they put on from the factory. Could someone clarify which one is the proper tonneau cover to have on my 2001 Truck (the black one from ford accessories or the gray one off an 03 L) I want it like it came from the factory in 2001. I've heard of the two different colors, but not two different heights. Are you sure you are looking at the snapless design that comes from the factory?

 

Yeah i'm sorry the height is supposedly the same on the snapless but i was wondering which color was the appropriate color that would have come from the factory on 2001 L black or gray.

Hey aren't you selling yours, if you have not sold it could you send me pics I'm not sure if I want the black or your gray. give me your opinion is a white 01 L with tinted windows and a black bedliner would the gray look good with all that black against that white

The factory cover is grey, I have one that has never seen the sunshine but a couple of times, want it?

I bought a hard cover a while back and the soft cover is needing a new home.
