Custom Gas Cap for my car....truck coming soon.....

I have a friend that is awsome with the CNC machine. Here is a pic of the gas door he cut for me. I'm getting ready to have him make a custom one for my truck.

It still needs a little polishing.....

Well Pro Fit had a demo lid with Roush on it, but they said that they could not get the rights to the logo to sell them. This other place quoted one for $400. So I got this one at a real bargain. If Roush won't sell them or let someone use the logo that's his loss not mine.

For some reason my sig is not showing up. I have a 00' Roush Convt Stg2 as a show car and a 01' Lightning. The lid was for the car.

Not sure if Mr Roush's Attorneys will share your opinion...

What it comes down to is its thier trademark and they have a right to defend it if they choose to....

Hmmm I didn't thik it was illegal unless you was actually trying to sell them. Plus thats not the exact logo of theirs,and my uncle is JOHNNIE COCHRAN!!!!

Suggests that at least one was sold ... And if Im not mistaken the fact that cash changed hands has nothing to do with it - Someone else using a trademark ( related or not ) dilutes the mark and MANY companies have taken legal steps to keep that from happening. BUt in the end you are right it is when there is $$ involved that the BIG legal guns come out....

Yea, using Roush's name could be trouble, but only if you were selling them. Since your buddy gave that to you, I can't see an issue. Plus, it wouldn't really be worth the companies time or effort to purse you. Just like it wouldn't be worth it for Ford to sue F150online for using the F150 name. It was worth it for Ford to sue Toyota when they tried to call the Tundra the T150.
