jlt cold air anyone?

Lookin' in a recent 5.0 Mustang mag and saw a little write up on this new cold air kit for 96-98 Cobras, 03-04 Cobras, and Lightnings. Anyone used Jlt's cold air? (jlttruecoldair.com). I am eventually going to do a cold air but its hard deciding which route colors etc. I really am condsidering an R.E.M. black intake tube and a JLP filter w/box. I want to know if this will be safe on a relatively stock truck? Also, Im really picky about color scheme and wanted soem help. I like everything to match so on the outside I have black truck, black wheels w/machined lip, machined bullit gas door (get the picture of my obssesion ). Id like to incorporate this scheme under the hood so should I do:

1)Black tube, Black JLP box, Black throttle body, Painted black plenum + charger
2)Black tube, Polished?? JlP box, polished throttle body, black upper plenum, polished charger

or any vice versa u can come up with. Thanks for puttin' up with my rediculous post

I learned about JLT from my buddy who put it on his '03 Cobra and picked up like 15 hp.
I pondered with the idea for a while and decided it was the best bang for the buck. I'm sure the Lightning gain is not as much as a Cobra, but I noticed a little better throttle reponse. I haven't any dyno gains to show though.

I got the black tube and it looks just like the lighting on his webpage(www.jlttruecoldair.com). Bit of a tight fit, but I over all I would recommend it!

Stay away from the REM tubes, the gromets on those things are terrible. I suggest a C&L pipe instead and Chicknears or many of the other supporting vendors can get you that. Ive seen the Cobra version and it is very nice and well constructed.

That is my truck on the web page and it really is a great intake for a decent price. plus he can paint them any color as he used to be a automotive painter. I have his intake and a tune with the predator and am putting 389rwhp and 450rwtq. It also cleans up the enginue bay to. It was painted sonic blue as my lightning and came out nice.

I think its a great deal, but I really don't like the boot. Its almost as big as the tube itself.

It doesn't look like the jlt kit is any different than the other guys' kits. Maybe I missed something.

The one from Razors Edge doesnt have a boot connecting to the throttle body as big as the jlt one. Not even close...
